nina ricci by olivier theyskens metal pailette bias cut dress, a/w 2007

bias cut mini dress in a black silk and cotton blend with brass (yes, metal!) paillettes and fabric covered buttons in the same textile cascading along the front and back. the weight of the piece is substantial; the coppery colored spangles give the piece that “theyskens” edge. a floor length evening variant was shown in grey, while this mini version was shown layered under a zipped knit.
