rochas pattern blocked dress in silk, f/w 2012

70s inspired mid-length “pattern-blocked” dress with a button up bodice and small, rounded collar. “blown up” snakeskin print at front bodice and sleeves, with a geometrical “watercolour” effect print at back and front portion of the skirt (blue and brown will always hit hard..). there is a thick lining fused to the soft silk outer for structure and opacity, and a small, golden zipper at side for ease of dressing and removal. the seams are exposed and finished beautifully with bias binding, in a strategic vertical positioning. for the perfect final touch: the most beautiful thick, wooden buttons are used as closures along the front placket, which adds so much to the overall design (these are some of the most beautiful buttons I’ve ever handled-that coloring..!)
