romeo gigli cowrie shell and button embroidered shirt, s/s 1995

sleeveless navy cotton shirt with a fully embroidered mother of pearl button and cowrie shell collar. this decorative element carries through to the shirt's placket, where each button is a different size. the shirt was worn on the runway, and the cowrie and mother of pearl button-as-embroidery motif was seen throughout the collection.
