romeo gigli woven knit jumper, a/w 1992

spectacular knitted jumper in a thick, deep navy wool. slightly oversized in fit- features ribbing at neckline and sleeve ends, and a woven panel at its hem where strips of the knit have been separated and linked together. see slide 2 for an example of this technique that was utilized on a knitted gilet, worn on the runway.. the stuff of dreams; simply unreal!
